Who we help

Different businesses.
Similar problems.

I work with family-run businesses, teams, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs.

Different businesses get stuck in different ways, but underneath it there is usually something similar going on.

Sales is often where the problem shows up first. It might be sitting too heavily with one person, being left to chance, not being led properly or simply not matching what the business now needs.

But once we look properly, the answer isn’t always “do more sales”.

It might be about your customers, pricing, people, capacity, priorities, profitability or the decisions being made around the business.

That is the work. Understanding what is actually happening and helping you work out what needs to happen next.

You’re good at what you do. That is not usually the issue.

The issue is that no one has shown you how to lead sales in your own business.

So sales gets squeezed in. Follow-up gets delayed. Referrals carry too much. The pipeline goes quiet. And then you make it mean something awful about yourself.

I see that all the time.

Selling and delivery need to keep running alongside each other. Because this is where so many solopreneurs get stuck. They’re delivering, delivering, delivering, then they look up and realise nobody has been selling.

Then panic kicks in. Then they scramble for leads. Then they hope for referrals.

Somebody needs to be the Sales Director of your business. And that’s you.

Sales Only helps you learn how to do that properly.

You built it. You sold the products or services. Then it grew.

Now sales cannot just sit in your head anymore. You’ve got people involved. You’ve got meetings that may or may not be useful. You’ve got targets. You’ve got expectations.

And often, you’ve got a gap between what you know the business needs and what is actually happening in the team.

That is not unusual. It is usually the point where the business needs to work differently because it is no longer just you.

What worked when everything sat with you does not work in the same way once a team is involved.

And sometimes what looks like a sales problem is actually about ownership. Or roles. Or expectations. Or the numbers nobody is properly looking at. Or decisions that keep finding their way back to you.

That is where experienced outside eyes become useful. Someone who can see what is happening across the business, challenge what is not working and help turn what is in your head into something the wider team can actually own and deliver.

Maybe you do not even know how you got here. Or maybe you do, and you know full well the plan that worked at the start is not going to cut it now.

The decisions are bigger now. There are more customers, more people, more opportunities and more money involved. And making all of those decisions from inside the business gets limiting.

The next stage usually asks for clearer thinking, stronger decisions and better commercial leadership than the earlier one did.

That is where outside perspective becomes really valuable. Someone who can see what you cannot. Challenge what you are assuming. Look at the numbers. Ask the question nobody else is asking.

Sales might be where our conversation starts. But we could just as easily find ourselves talking about pricing, people, capacity, customers, profitability, opportunities or the thing you know needs changing but haven’t quite made the decision on yet.

This is where Sales Director on Speed Dial fits.
